Cars in Germany's Town Discovered Marked with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Law Enforcement Report

Police reported they were contacted by a man who found a automobile in Hanau smeared with reddish liquid

Approximately fifty automobiles have been marked with what appears to be human blood in the German municipality of Hanau close to Frankfurt, as reported by authorities.

Automobiles, building surfaces and postal boxes were defaced, in some cases with Nazi symbols, they announced in a statement.

Officers state they were notified in the late hours on Wednesday night, when a resident observed that a vehicle in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been marked with a red-colored fluid.

The substance had been applied in the pattern of a Nazi symbol, they stated.

Law enforcement then found multiple other vandalized automobiles and residential walls in the surrounding area.

These symbols are banned in Germany under laws outlawing the public exhibition of Nazi-era symbols.

Officials report preliminary tests show the liquid was most likely human bodily fluid.

"Currently there is no lead as to where it came from; investigators are not yet informed of any injuries in connection with the occurrence," they added.

Local authorities stated they were attempting "to resolve the mystery" and have appealed to the residents for tips.

A high-ranking political figure commented the attack left him speechless and needed to be addressed promptly.

"This act hits the center of Hanau and revives the wounds of the far-right violent incident in 2020," he stated on social media, referring to the killing of nine victims by a gunman focusing on residents of foreign heritage in five years prior.
